Christine Cooper is a Project Manager and Producer who provides arts, community, and educational activities with a focus on environmental, social, and educational themes. She has led project management and development for national and international arts projects through fundraising, marketing, and logistics with extensive experience collaborating on or leading projects in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Recently as a Producer, Christine has researched the viability of concert and tour booking opportunities for classical-music and community education orchestra projects in Austria and The Netherlands; produced a screenplay by an Italy-based writer to be filmed for young audiences in West Central Scotland; delivered educational workshops on environmental themes to nursery and school-aged children in Glasgow and Renfrewshire councils; represented numerous theatre and music projects at festivals and venues in the UK and abroad; managed Scotland-wide music tour bookings for Donald W G Lindsay of Ascension Island, St Helena; and collaborated with music-makers in Mexico and Germany to present a weekend of digital performances.
As a Project Manager and Coordinator, digital and live work has included producing music performances for The Glasgow Barons and Red Note Ensemble; coordination and marketing of theatre performances for Showroom Theatre and Bunbury Banter Theatre; and coordination and delivery of education and community-based projects for Hopscotch Theatre, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Glasgow’s South Side Fringe Festival.
Christine graduated from the The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow with a Bachelor of Music with Honours. She completed her Master’s in Arts, Festival, and Cultural Management with Merit at the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. She is enthusiastic about life-long learning and is completing a Diploma in Search Engine Optimisation through the College of Media and Publishing. Christine has a desire to foster young or emerging creatives. She recently employed a Trainee Arts Producer as part of the UK Government’s Kickstart Scheme. She regularly creates opportunities through trainee and mentorship roles within projects to help individuals to explore their craft.
